  • Debt Helpline provides free and impartial advice

    The Housing Debt Helpline Wales is available to anyone living in Wales. It will provide free and impartial advice from fully-trained and experienced debt counsellors for anyone with mortgage or rent arrears, or threatened with repossession or eviction by private and social landlords and face losing their homes.

  • Anyone Can Get Into Housing Debt

    People can get into housing debt for a variety of reasons:

    • Change in circumstances like job loss, sickness or relationship breakdown
    • Accessing high cost credit/mortgages from non traditional lenders and securing it on their homes
    • Over-borrowing during the property boom.
